Wanzhou Manufacturing Forum 2025: Driving Innovation and Growth

On January 20, 2025, the Manufacturing Development Forum of Wanzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone in Chongqing was successfully held in Jiulong Industrial Park of Wanzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. This forum was sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of Wanzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone and undertaken by Chongqing Sanming Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., attracting many industry elites, experts and scholars to participate.

Cheng Hongjiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Wanzhou District Party Committee, Hu Youyi, President of the China Sand and Gravel Association, Song Shaomin, a professor at Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, and other guests attended the forum. District-level departments such as the Wanzhou District Economic and Information Commission, the Commerce Commission, and representatives of numerous enterprises also gathered together to discuss the development plan of the manufacturing industry.

In the keynote speech session, with his rich industry experience and profound professional knowledge, President Hu Youyi deeply analyzed the economic situation at home and abroad and government policies, providing authoritative guidance for enterprises. Li Jibin, Deputy Director of the Wanzhou District Investment Promotion Bureau, introduced in detail the development advantages and potential of Wanzhou. Representatives of enterprises shared innovative achievements in fields such as new materials and equipment manufacturing, and Chen Lin, Deputy General Manager of Chongqing Three Gorges Bonded Industrial Development Co., Ltd., promoted Wanzhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone.

In the afternoon, the roundtable meetings of the building materials industry chain and the equipment manufacturing industry chain became the focus. Song Shaomin and Yu Youqiang presided over the building materials meeting, discussing industry issues and reaching a consensus on industry-university-research cooperation. Tan Xiaolong presided over the equipment manufacturing meeting, and representatives put forward suggestions such as technical sharing in response to problems like R&D investment and talent shortage.
The successful holding of this forum integrated resources, built a platform for enterprises, pointed out the development direction, facilitated the upgrading of Wanzhou's manufacturing industry, and played an important role in promoting the high-quality development of the regional economy.
